We just finished making two chocolates with cacao beans from Peru, a 60% semi sweet and a 70% dark. Very interesting subtle notes of soft tropical fruits like banana and mango are coming forward.
The lovely and yes little Leanna of The Little Baker Online stopped by to score some samples for a special pie she is working on with all locally sourced ingredients. I hear it has pecans and chocolate. I can’t see any reason why I wouldn’t just go ahead and eat half a pie. Someone is going to have to tackle me. Anyways, you might check out one of our talented independent local bakers. She’s bringing a whole lot of enthusiasm to her BIG creations, and you could be a hero at home or work by walking in with one of her goodies.
