We learned some things about barbecue eaters this week.
You people have a smoked turkey problem.
We sold out of turkey everyday this week. You know it was the week after Thanksgiving right? We’re gonna have to rethink this week next year.
As left overs for things to be thankful for, our beer & wine license arrived this week. We finally got to put some happy in the Happy Happy Hour with a nice line up of local craft beers.
One doesn’t have to leave Harris or Montgomery county to find some quality beer to pair with the happy hour menu. Brisket stuffed jalapenos, sausage taquitos, pork empanadas, and turkey quesadillas were looking great.
Speaking of pairings. Wine and truffle pairing practice began.
And to think I used to hate practice.
Some of those reds and that Parmesan crusted browned butter & sage truffle made for a delightful combination of flavors not found everyday. A white blend called 1836 by Llano Estacado paired with our Honey Lavender truffle was also pretty special; as well as, our chili truffle with Becker’s Tempranillo.
Truffle and wine flights might be the ticket for a nice happy hour.
We got so happy, we let a happy grandma loose in the White Room to dip her cranberry orange short bread cookies in dark chocolate.
How many cookies to make? See smoked turkey sales results.
Saturday brought us sunshine for a change and we had the boys in from Old Town Coffee Parlor doing a coffee pop up for the morning.
Here is their FB page. They’re coming to Old Town Tomball next year and we want to help them get going.
See you around the patio soon.
